Call for Open Market and Poster Fair!
The SPORTVISION2012 Conference Consortium invites you to submit a Fair presentation for the “SPORTVISION2012 – OPEN MARKET and POSTER FAIR”. This is your chance to set the spotlight on your project, become an active contributor and to assist developing SPORTVISION2012 into a rich and diverse event.
What is OPEN MARKET and POSTER FAIR?
The OPEN MARKET and POSTER FAIR is an open exhibition showcasing one or more of the SPORTVISION2012 thematic fields as good examples. The exhibition will run throughout the conference with the possibility for presenters to share their project/programs/activities or/and research-based presentations during the coffee breaks and lunch on 19th and 20th of March 2012.
You can submit the proposals for the Open Market and Poster Fair contribution in the following fields:
Volunteering: including education, recognition, legal frameworks, recruitment, retention, and funding of volunteers.
Fitness doping: including legislation, doping control models, preventive work, financial structure of initiatives towards doping free fitness centers, youth culture and risk behaviour, trafficking of doping substances to and within Europe and medical focus on the abuse of steroids.
Financing & Health: including policies to increase participation in sport and physical activity, new trends and physical activities, funding of sport for all from local to national level, sport for all and social inclusion/health and developing and maintaining facilities for sport for all.
Physical activity offers and opportunities for different target groups: including national and local initiatives for physical activity that are adapted to the needs of specific target publics such us senior citizens, immigrants, youth and adolescents, girls and women.
We welcome both scientific research and good practice on local, national and international level.
To achieve an alternative way of sharing information about projects/programs/activities and research we suggest the following presentation styles:
• Poster presentations
• Leaflets, Brochures and other printed materials
• DVD presentations
• Games, Plays and / or Sport activities.
We welcome a wide range of suggestions reaching from good examples to research-based presentations, and encourage all interested persons to submit a proposal or enquire for further details. Presented materials must be in English and should comply with the following format:
- Recommended poster size is up to 90 cm wide and 120 cm high.
- DVD presentation that can be shown on your own computer
- Games, Plays and Sport activities that can be presented indoor in a place of 8 square meters
The conference publication (Abstract book) will include your abstract or background paper.
Submission
To submit your suggestion for OPEN MARKET and POSTER FAIR please include:
• Title of the presentation
• Name of contact person, institution, city and country
• Abstract summarizi the presentation (maximum 500 words)
• Presentation style (poster, DVD, Game, Plays, Sport activity or other innovative approach)
Abstracts should be submitted electronically to contact@sportvision2012.eu before 20 January 2012.
The evaluation committee will send a response on a running basis. You will get an answer within 2 weeks of making your submission.
Practical arrangement
All projects selected will be able to use one stand, table, chairs and electricity provided by the Organizers. The exhibition is foreseen as from Monday, 19 March at 14.00 and will end on Tuesday, 20 March at 17.00. To motivate and to encourage target related dialogue the OPEN MARKET PLACE will have an “open hour” during standing lunch on Tuesday 20.3.2012.
More logistical information about the exhibition and stands will be provided after 1st of February 2012.
Conditions
Organizers will cover one night accommodation in Cabinn Metro for OPEN MARKET presenters (19. – 20.3.2012), maximum up to 20 presenters.
Organizers will not cover travel costs for OPEN MARKET presenters.
The organizers will not design and print materials or posters and will not cover the presentation material costs and material delivery costs.
